Timber Forwarder Training Course Aim:
To assess the candidates knowledge and skills to the item of machinery.

A range of practical Timber Forwarder assessments covering the various types of forest machines (Timber Forwarder, Timber Harvester, Valmet, Timberjack, Silvatec, Ponsse, Lako etc.) for candidates who wish to be identified as a competent operator and promote
a professional image.
The Timber Forwarder assessment requires a practical demonstration of the candidate’s competence
on the base category and operation being taken.
The skills to be assessed will cover safety features, PPE, good operating practice,
underpinning knowledge and understanding will be assessed orally.
Timber Forwarder Training Course – Ireland
Duration: 1 Day Assessment
Certification: On successful completion candidates will be awarded with CITY and GUILDS NPTC level 2 certificate of competence
Timber Forwarder Training Prerequisites:
- 6 months operational operational experience
- One Passport Photograph
- PPE(personal protective equipment), i.e. Hard Hat, High Visibility Vest, Steel
- Toe Capped Boots, Gloves
The course is delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical training. Our Timber Forwarder Training and assessment programme enables experienced plant operators to gain recognition for their achievements.
