Occupational First Aid PDF Print E-mail

Aim:
This three day course is designed to give participants sufficient knowledge and the appropriate skills to enable them to undertake occupational first aid in the workplace. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance on completion.

This course will enable participants to:

  • Aid employers in the compliance with First Aid Regulations 1993, contained in Part IX of the General Application Regulations 1993.
  • Demonstrate Adult CPR techniques and other practical skills such as Artificial Respiration, Bandaging, Recovery Position
  • Apply the aims of First Aid – preserve life, limit the effects, aid recovery
  • Have the necessary knowledge available to them to provide immediate treatment of any injury or sudden illness before the arrival of an ambulance, doctor or other qualified person.
