Mobile Elevated Working Platform (MEWP) Boom, Scissors or Vehicle Mounted Training Course Aim:
To provide participants with the knowledge, skills and attitude to enable them to operate the MEWP in a competent and safe manner.

- Health and Safety Legislation
- Stopping and starting machine
- Hydraulic Sytems
- Electrical Systems
- Maintenance
- Overhead Obstructions and Ground Conditions
- Achievement Testing
- Controls & Instruments
- Operating of Hydraulic Controls
MEWP Training Course Duration:
City & Guilds Certification 2.5 hours, KTC Certification 1 Day
Training Times: 8.00 am-4.30 pm
Assessment: Theory and Practical Examination
MEWP Course Certification: On successful completion candidates will be awarded with a KTC Ltd card or a City & Guilds NPTC Certification.
Mobile Elevated Working Platform Course Prerequisites:
- 6 months operational operational experience
- One Passport Photograph
- Safe pass course completed
- PPS Number
- PPE(personal protective equipment), i.e. Hard Hat, High Visibility Vest, Steel Toe Capped Boots, Gloves.
The course is delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical training. Our Boom / Scissors Training and assessment programme enables experienced drivers to gain the necessary training. Successful Boom / Scissors Training course candidates get certified after demonstrating their skills and knowledge.
