COVID-19 Update – All training courses to proceed

Update regarding COVID-19

All training courses are to proceed until further notice.
Current restrictions are based on “large scale gatherings” (>100 people), at present there is no need for training to stop.

We have taken necessary precaution measures to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and to reduce the risk to staff, trainers & trainees. We have now implemented a pre-course questionnaire to establish the below from candidates due to attend training courses;

Have you been in contact with any person who is a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the past 14-Days?
Have you travelled to any affected areas?
If YES, what country did you travel to/from?
Have you travelled out of the country in the last 14 days?
If YES, what country did you travel to/from?
Have you or a family member been in contact with anyone who was in the affected areas?
Do you currently have a cough/fever/shortness of breath or any flu like symptoms?

This questionnaire will help us to protect candidates, staff and others at our training facility & on site courses.

People must adhere to HSE Guidelines and remember to follow the below basic prevention steps:

  • avoid close contact (touching or shaking hands)
  • wash hands often with soap and water; if that is not possible, use hand sanitizer
  • cover mouth and nose with a tissue or the crook of your arm if you sneeze or cough
  • avoid touching your mouth, nose, and eyes

Please note, KTC has the right to refuse entry to any persons who have been to locations of public health concern in the past 14 days or who have been in contact with any person with a confirmed case of COVID-19.
If our staff need to self-isolate this could lead to cancellation of courses at short notice although we will do our best to avoid this. It may become necessary to cancel courses in response to guidance from public health authorities. Should this be necessary we hope our customers will be understanding, we will honour the course fee to be used at a later stage.
