Mobile Crane Training - Crane Course - Licence Ireland PDF Print E-mail

This CSCS mobile crane training course exposes candidates to the safe and efficient operation of mobile cranes. Mobile crane operators from Ireland may drive the crane to the job site, rig the machine up pin the boom and pendant cables and pull the hoist cable in preparation for operation and set up the machine for the lift i.e. make it level and stable using blocking and levelling materials.

The crane training course aims to provide skills training in rigging, loads, lifting procedures and developing good communication skills dealing with ground crews, using hand signals and voice communication. The crane course enables experienced mobile crane operators to gain their crane licence / certification.


CSCS Mobile Crane Training Content:

Construction Site Safety Awareness
Health and Safety Legislation
Safely operate and control a mobile crane
Lift and place a variety of loads
Check, inspect and maintain a mobile crane for efficient use under construction site conditions
Hand signals and communication
Demonstrate the knowledge and safe use of different types of lifting gear
Change mobile crane configuration to suit altered jib lengths

CSCS Mobile Crane Course - Ireland

Duration: 1 Day

Training Times: 8.30 am -4.30. pm

Assessment: Theory and Practical Examination

Certification: On successful completion candidates will be awarded a FETAC Certificate and a CSCS card.

 


Crane Training Course Prerequisites:

  • Slingers signaller course completed
  • Completed New Entrants Log Book (Minimum 6 months experience) or meet criteria to qualify for Recognition of Prior Learning
  • One passport photograph
  • Safe pass course completed
  • PPS number
  • PPE (personal protective equipment) i.e. hard hat, high vis vest, steel toe capped boots, gloves
